The Thoughts of Tats
Anonymous asked: How's college going?
It was very iffy for a while there, but it’s better now. In high school I had my niche, it was so easy to make friends when you had teammates and classes that weren’t entirely based around lectures. I think I took that mentality into college and thought that people would obviously want to talk to that small quiet Asian girl sitting in the front row (hint: they don’t). So now I’ve taken matters into my own hands. I joined HEAT (Husky Environmental Action Team, so typical, I know) and I’m a rookie on the rugby team. Yes, rugby.
I think I’ve also learned that my priorities deviate from a lot of my friends’ so I’m in the process of seeing how I want to proceed in terms of friendships. I’m pretty focused on getting back into shape and training for a half marathon this summer so partying all the time isn’t really on my agenda and sometimes people don’t understand that.
Other than that… I love walking around Boston. Through running and just riding the T and exploring, I’m learning my way around and it doesn’t seem as ridiculously huge anymore. This winter hasn’t been that cold so I’m taking advantage of it and trying to run outside on the weekends.
Um… my classes are interesting… I’m doing really well in all of them and I don’t find them too difficult (knock on wood)… that’s about it. :.)
